Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in legal settings. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers she has received grants from numerous sources and has been awarded several international and national prizes. She has collaborated with numerous governments and organizations around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who are people who are victims of the law. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional organizations, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). She is the founder of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association's three divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
