Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the US. She was best known as Skyler in AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and won Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 and 2014. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with the art of acting at Preparatory School, before her family moved to Ohio during the latter part of 1970. The theatre school she attended was Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career working in the Chicago area theatres for a short time. She then moved on to film and television. Anna got her big break in 1992 when she played Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. The actress continued to make appearances as guest stars on a few TV shows and films including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue until the late 1990's, when she was cast in a role that she reprised as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. Skyler was the character she played in Breaking Bad. Sully was the Deadwood film and a few other films included her. Gunn played a role in the David Schwimmer directed the film Sex With Strangers. The actress starred as Numbered Days, which is a four-part audio series that was released that will air in 2022. The relationship between Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the story on Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and eventually its demise echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final days of life.
